If you answered “yes” to one or more of the statements above, I suggest that you check out “You’re Hired,” an online feature presented by the British Council: http://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/en/youre-hired. If none of the questions applied to you yet you’d still like to improve your listening skills, you should pay a visit to the website anyway. It’s a video series about WebWare, a (fictional) IT company looking for a new Sales Director; viewers will “follow Philip Hart and Marcia Boardman as they take us through the process of recruiting a new team member”. Along the way, you’ll learn many vocabulary words and phrases pertinent to the business world; you’ll also familiarize yourself with the English accent (great practice for those of you taking the IELTS or TOEIC).
