對WHT公司來說，今天是充滿好消息的一天。保羅被升為業務經理，而行銷部門一個行銷活動獲得行銷雜誌《今日行銷》頒發的獎項！讓負責夥伴的都非常開心，努力付出終得回報！

Darren：Paul, I heard you were promoted to sales manager.
　　　（達倫：保羅，我聽說你被升為業務經理了。）
Paul：That"s right. I just found out yesterday.
　　（保羅：沒錯，我昨天才知道的。）
Darren：That"s good news. Congratulations!
　　　（達倫：真是個好消息。恭喜！）
Paul：Thanks a lot, Darren.
　　（保羅：多謝，達倫。）
Brenda comes out of the copy room holding a file folder.
（布蘭達從影印間走出來，手上拿著一個檔案夾。）
Paul：Hi, Brenda. Did you hear I got promoted yesterday to sales manager?
　　（保羅：嗨，布蘭達。妳有沒有聽說我昨天被升為業務經理？）
Brenda：Really? Excellent. Nice going!
　　　（布蘭達：真的啊？太好了。幹得好！）
Paul：Thanks. I"m having a party to celebrate at my house on Saturday night.
　　　 Would you like to come?
　　（保羅：謝謝。我星期六晚上要在我家舉辦一場派對慶祝一下。
　　　　　　妳要不要來？）
Brenda：Well, I"m feeling a little depressed about not getting into graduate school.
　　　　 I"m not sure I"d be much fun.
　　　（布蘭達：嗯，我沒有申請到研究所覺得有些沮喪。我不知道會不會掃大家的興。）
Paul：There"s no use crying over spilled milk. I"m sure you"ll get into another school later.
　　（保羅：覆水難收，不過我確定妳之後一定能申請到其他的研究所。）
Brenda：I guess you"re right. OK, I"ll come to your party.
　　　（布蘭達：我想你說得對。好吧，我會參加你的派對。）
At that moment, Shirley Saunders—the head of WHT"s marketing department—walks by.

Darren：Hi, Shirley. I read in this month"s company newsletter that the marketing
　　　　 department won an award.

Shirley：Yes, we did, Darren. The award was from Marketing Today,
　　　　 a large international trade magazine. It should give us a lot of good publicity.
